Sophie & Richard, Derry farmhouse Wedding.

As the saying goes…….

…… ‘Good things come to those who wait’ and this was most certainly the case with Sophie and Richard’s beautiful, quirky and unique marquee wedding on the family farm. Another pre-covid booking followed by another postponement. When Sophie first got in contact and informed me that the wedding was planned to be on a hilltop on the family farm surrounded by beautiful views and scenery my initial reaction was to feel pretty excited about how epic their photographs would be. Preparation began with an engagement session in Donegal the previous summer and of course I recce’d the farm a few weeks prior to the wedding date. These two meetings sent my excitement to another level.

This wedding day was built on the vision, creativity and hard work of Sophie and Richard. Everywhere I looked on the day there was another quirky detail which had been crafted by either Sophie or Richard. From the beautiful hand picked flower bouquets and hand drawn booklets to the polished Massey Ferguson tractors and hand built toilets (yes, you read that right). Sophie and Richard literally built their own wedding. Add to this all their craic loving family and friends who made a wonderful environment within which Sophie and Richard could celebrate their marriage. Fortune favours the brave and the weather Gods deservedly rewarded Sophie and Richard on their day.

Thank you to Sophie and Richard for having us there to capture your stunning day. It really was such a pleasure to be there.
